CampActive holiday club

CampActive, our popular holiday club, was founded over five years ago by Sam Askey as part of his further studies to encourage children to become more active as the Nintendo DS’s and PlayStation were starting to take over the school holiday club. Sam wanted to provide a wide range of multi-skill activities and team building sports, whilst developing nutritional support and education in a friendly, relaxed and fun environment.

Fun filled activities during the school holidays

Here at CampActive we offer a wide range of multi-sport activities and team building games for children aged 4-12. Our aim is to get children outdoors and active during the school holidays.

We combine quality coaching, nutritional advice and sport awareness with a fun daily program that will appeal to children of all abilities and ages.

Professional coaches lead a full mix of sports during the week whilst teaching about the importance of a healthy diet, general exercise, sportsmanship and, above all else, the fun of sport!

Children are welcome to participate daily or weekly as each session has morning training before competing in a mini sports day each afternoon, ending the day with a rewards ceremony.

Friday’s of each week are ‘FUN FRIDAY’S’ where children can choose the morning activities they have enjoyed throughout the week. The afternoon will consist of play on the fields waterslide and ‘super soaker’ water fight games (weather dependent).

CampActive Holiday Club Childsplay Day Nursery

CampActive runs during all holidays; Monday-Friday 9am till 3.45pm. CampActive is based at the St John’s JUNIOR site. If you have not collected your child by 3.45pm from the school, then you will be able to collect them from 4.00pm back at Child’s Play.

This 15-minute period allows us to get the remaining children back to nursery. You also have the option to drop your child off at Child’s Play from 7.30am before the 9am session at CampActive starts.

My girls love Camp active both in the holidays and after school, they have a great choice of activities and are kept entertained and safe all day. As a mum i feel completely relaxed leaving them with all the team, thank you Childs Play and Camp active, keep up the great work.

My 4 year old absolutely loved Camp Active in February half term, he is still talking about Camp Active now and showing everyone the games he has learned. When we walk past the school, he is super excited. As a parent, Camp Active took my concerns on board and supported his transition to fun club and now I’m happy knowing that he is looking forward to starting his new school and has already made some new friends. Blake (5 years) loves coming along to Camp Active in the school holidays - he’s always talking about the fun things they get up to and the games they play! The highly trained staff are fab too - in fact, Blake tells me Sam, Chris, Danny and Ben are all his best friends. A super way of tiring them out while they make friends and learn new skills. Well done!!
